SCAT service changes begin July 13

Several Sarasota County Area Transit routes will undergo changes to their schedule, while other routes will be adjusted. The changes are scheduled to take effect Saturday.

Route 90X, North Port-Venice-Sarasota express, and 100X, North Port-Sarasota Express, will begin to operate Saturdays. Both routes will also add new trips. The Saturday schedules will be the same as on weekdays.

Time-schedule adjustments will be made to the following routes: 1A (Fruitville via McIntosh), 5 (Osprey-Swift), 6 (Beneva), 8 (Newtown-U.S. 301), 13 (Venice neighborhoods), 71 (Downtown-Booker High School) and 1713 (Tamiami Trail Sunday). Several routes in Venice and North Port will also see route adjustments.
