South Cocoanut Bayou home sells for $4,875,000

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between July 8 and July 12.

A home in South Cocoanut Bayou tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Richard and Melissa Hall sold their home at 725 Mangrove Point Road to Steven Seymour, of Sarasota, for $4,875,000. Built in 1982, it has six bedrooms, six baths, two half-baths, a pool and 9,039 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $4 million in 2012.

SARASOTA
The Savoy on Palm
Wayne and Ronna Ruben sold their Unit 1001 condominium at 401 S. Palm Ave. to Albert Cohen and Norma Cohen, of Sarasota, for $1.95 million. Built in 2006, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 3,172 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,555,500 in 2006.

Pine Bay
Edward and Kathleen Levins sold their home at 1427 Pine Bay Drive to Robert and Jacqueline Crisci, of Sarasota, for $1,495,000. Built in 1971, it has five bedrooms, four baths and 5,133 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $159,000 in 1987.

Poinsettia Park
Robert and Barbara Knickerbocker, of Sarasota, sold their home at 1810 Bougainvillea St. to Stephen and Jennifer Kucera, of Sarasota, for $1.4 million. Built in 2010, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 3,997 square feet of living area.

George Saah sold his home at 940 Alameda Way to Real Care USA LLC for $917,500. Built in 1956, it has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 2,689 square feet of living area.

Sarasota Bay Club LLC sold the Unit 214 condominium at 1301 N. Tamiami Trail to Gloria Basile, of Sarasota, for $700,000. Built in 2000, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,772 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $588,500 in 2000.

Sarasota Bay Club LLC sold the Unit 609 condominium at 1301 N. Tamiami Trail to Robert and Margaret King, of Sarasota, for $640,000. Built in 2000, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,546 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $650,000 in 2006.

Aqualane Estates
Robert Hering, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 1636 Shelburne Lane to Robert and Randi Broida, of Akron, Ohio, for $660,000. Built in 1958, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,752 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $875,000 in 2003.

Alta Vista Street
Craig Scheibel, of Villa Rica, Ga., and Geoffrey and Poppy Spencer, of Sarasota, sold their home at 1720 Alta Vista St. to Godfrey Levy, trustee, of Naples, for $585,000. Built in 1977, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,795 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $460,000 in 2003.

Sheri Ruttle, of Ontario, Canada, sold her Unit 406 condominium at 755 S. Palm Ave. to Jan and Elizabeth Stewart, of Arlington, Va., for $525,000. Built in 1983, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,421 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $345,000 in 2003.

Erick Shumway, trustee, sold the home at 1718 Hillview St. to Harry and Sandi Jannetta, of Sarasota, for $435,000. Built in 1948, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,102 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $150,000 in 1997.

Daniel and Pamela Frese, of Sarasota, sold their home at 2708 Wisteria Place to Burt Lazarus, of Truro, Mass., for $310,000. Built in 1957, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,155 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $245,000 in 2011.

Dana Pekas, of Sarasota, sold his home at 5224 Siesta Cove Drive to Kent Radovich, of Sarasota, for $1 million. Built in 1988, it has five bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 4,308 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $865,000 in 1998.

Todd Bavol-Montgomery and Sean Bavol-Montgomery, of Lutz, sold their Unit E206 condominium at 6512 Midnight Pass Road to Darrel Reece, trustee, of Sarasota, for $780,000. Built in 2006, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,600 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $400,000 in 2012.
