A Longboat Key home at 6001 Gulf of Mexico Drive sold today for $6.8 million, according to a news release.

The Addy-Wittig Team, of Michael Saunders & Co.’s Longboat Key South office, and Jonathan Abrams, of the company’s Siesta Key office, co-listed the property.

Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate agent Lynne Koy represented the property’s buyers, who searched for three years, on Siesta Key, Casey Key, Lido Key and the mainland bayfront before finding the property, according to a Coldwell statement.

The newly built 6,959-square-foot home has four bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms and more than an acre of Gulf-front land.

The home has a 12-person Jacuzzi that cascades into a 40-foot Gulf-front pool, a fire pit, summer kitchen and covered terrace for al fresco dining, a three-stop elevator, volume ceilings, custom millwork and moldings throughout the home and a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinetry.

The property was originally listed for $7 million in April.

The sale was the highest-priced single-family home sale on Longboat Key in more than two years.
