May 26
Bargain busted
3 a.m. — 5800 block of Ranch Lake Boulevard.
Retail Theft. The subject was caught shoplifting merchandise totaling $90.46. The store manager elected to have the subject trespassed from his store. The subject purchased the items, instead of going to jail. The officer issued the subject a trespass warning and instructed him not to return to the premises.

May 27
Masked money-maker
12:18 a.m. — 6500 block of State Road 64 E.
Armed Robbery. The victim stated a masked man, dressed in black and armed with a black rifle, entered the location and ordered her to remove the currency from the safe. The victim complied, and the male fled the location through the rear door and headed south on 67th Street Court East. A K9 unit responded to the scene but was unable to establish a trail. The suspect took about $3,300.

Stolen phone
10:41 a.m. — 6200 block of River Club Boulevard. 
Theft. The juvenile was attending Braden River Middle School on the listed time and date. During the day, unknown person(s) stole her cell phone and iPod Touch from her backpack. The items were valued at $700.

Fame-making flight
12:38 p.m. — Intersection of Forest Run Drive and State Road 70 E. Lost Property. A juvenile was flying his custom-built quad helicopter with a remote control, while standing on Lakewood Ranch High School property. The juvenile lost sight of the helicopter as it flew toward Forest Run Drive and State Road 70. The helicopter had a camera attached to it to take pictures. The juvenile’s father wanted to report the helicopter and camera were lost.

May 30
Cut and run
1:16 p.m. — 8500 block of Cooper Creek Boulevard. 
Burglary of Unoccupied Structure. Some time between 6 p.m. May 28 and 1:16 p.m. May 30, unknown person(s) cut the hasp off the lock to the side door of a trailer that was parked in the parking lot near a business. Unknown person(s) stole one roll of wire from inside the trailer and left in an unknown direction.

Wedding crasher
5:03 p.m. — 7300 block of 52nd Place E. Theft. The victim reported an unknown person(s) stole his wedding ring. He left the ring in the pocket of his pants, which he left in an unlocked locker at the men’s locker room, before starting his workout. When he returned, he realized the wedding ring was no longer in his pants pocket and someone may have stolen it. The ring is valued at $1,100.
