7:06 p.m. — 3700 block of GMD. Traffic. Police saw a driver pass two other vehicles in a no-passing zone. The man said he was frustrated by the slow-moving traffic and got a written warning.

Camera is rolling ... off the roof
6:49 a.m. — 5000 block of GMD. Lost/Missing Property. A man put his camera on the roof of his car but didn’t realize he left it there until he was in Bradenton. Police canvassed the area but couldn’t find the fallen camera.

Maybe he’s a house sitter?
3:42 p.m. — 3300 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman called police after seeing an unknown man sitting in her out-of-town neighbor’s backyard. Police couldn’t find the mystery man.
June 2
Pay up
2:19 a.m. — 4700 block of GMD. Traffic. Police pulled over a driver because his headlight was out and cited him because his license was suspended for failure to pay child support.
Can’t sleep here
4:16 a.m. — Gulf of Mexico Drive and North Shore Road. Camping. Police found a tent while patrolling the beach. The man and woman sleeping inside said they didn’t know camping wasn’t allowed and left after collecting their trash and belongings.
Trailer transfer
7:25 a.m. — Gulf of Mexico Drive and Bay Isles Road. Traffic. A driver bought a trailer six months ago in another state but never registered the title in Florida. The man said he was on his way to a condominium to tear out a kitchen. He received a citation and a warning from police that a town ordinance only allows construction from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Urine trouble
7:42 p.m. — 6300 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. Police stopped two men who had reportedly been urinating in a business parking lot. A man in a nearby apartment confirmed they were visiting him. Police asked him if there was drug activity going on in the apartment because he appeared extremely nervous. He denied it but refused to let police inside the apartment.
The real deal
10:31 p.m. — 6300 block of Gulfside Road. A man said a couple started banging and kicking on the front door. After police found the pair, the man said they stopped at the home because his girlfriend wanted to visit her friend. After police spoke to the couple for a few minutes, a woman walked outside and said, “I wasn’t buying any dope.”

4:54 p.m. — 1000 block of GMD. Abandoned 911 Call. A woman tried to call Florida Power & Light Co., but might have accidentally dialed 911.
