Ranch kicker earns top honors

Lakewood Ranch High rising sophomore kicker Kyle Thoma finished first in punting for the class of 2016, at the Kornblue Kicking Challenge June 1, at Florida International University.

Thoma also finished second in kicking, which combined kickoffs and field goals.

In April, Thoma attended the Ray Guy kicking camp at Manatee High where he connected on a new personal best 55-yard field goal.

Thoma is currently ranked in the top 20 for punting and the top 30 for kicking for the Class of 2016, according to prokicker.com.
