+ What should we believe?
Dear Editor:
Too late are Americans awakening to the fact that the big government for which they voted is now mired in scandals peculiar to the nature of big government.

It has been revealed that one of President Obama’s closest advisers knew of the IRS’ venture into the repression of free speech. Does anyone really believe that he didn’t discuss this with the president?

Does anyone believe that a U.S. consulate can be under attack and the president is not involved in the decision of how to react, or in this case, not react, to save the lives of the consuls?

Does anyone really believe that the president has the right to declare the Senate in recess, when the Senate is not in recess, to appoint executive branch officials who otherwise could not have won confirmation to their positions of extreme power in the NLRB?

And, does anyone really believe that the president, so insecure, who encouraged internet users to report conservative activity to the federal government, was not involved in the seizing of telephone records to identify leaks of information unfavorable to his administration.

Obama has shown himself to have a megalomaniacal desire to personally control everything. Are we now to believe he “knows nothing?”

+ Tyranny still exists
Dear Editor:
You are a great American. Your word for this year is “freedom.” Perfect. Very timely.

The next time you write about freedom please include this: A big part of the definition of freedom in America is being free from coercion and free from intimidation, especially from our current administration.

In 1775, our patriot forefathers were fighting against the tyranny of King George III and his British Parliament. Today we are fighting against tyranny from our own government!

George Washington said, “The constitution must be held steadfast for cunning, ambitious and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”
