Obituary: Joyce Kollogian

Joyce (Juskalian) Kolligian, 76, of Longboat Key and formerly of Winchester, Mass., died June 11.

Born Sept. 7, 1936, she was the executive director of the Simmons Leadership Conference for the last 13 years. Mrs. Kolligian also established the J.K. Carlyle Associates, a boutique marketing and communications consultancy firm.

Mrs. Kolligian was an avid golfer and was a member of the Longboat Key Club and Resort, where she achieved the distinction of scoring a hole-in-one in March 2008.

Mrs. Kolligan was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Michael Kolligian Jr. She is survived by her son, Michael Kolligian III; daughter, Valerie Kolligian Thayer; and two granddaughters.
