LAKEWOOD RANCH — Lakewood Ranch-based Keller Williams Realty has found a new permanent home, and, with the move, the company is pushing forward plans to expand.

Realtor Steven DeToit and Operating Partner Paul Cornuke, Keller Williams’ majority stockholders, purchased the former Neal Communities building, located at 8210 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., Lakewood Ranch, across from Lakewood Ranch Main Street, for $1,338,000.

Keller Williams’ agents move in to the roughly 10,000-square-foot space Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28.

The new office, which has undergone minor renovations over the last few weeks, including landscaping improvements, new paint and carpet and other work, boasts 1,000 square feet more of space than Keller Williams’ previous location on the third floor of John Cannon Homes’ Lakewood Ranch Corporate Park headquarters. The space also includes more than 30 offices and will accommodate up to 200 agents; Keller Williams currently has about 120 agents, DeToit said.

“We’re increasing (our space), and we’re almost full,” Cornuke said. “This is turning out to be really successful. We’ve had nothing but positive feedback. It gives more visibility to our agents. We wanted a building that had the premier location in Lakewood Ranch.”

DeToit said more than a dozen agents already have agreed to join Keller Williams because of the venue change.

The new location not only gives Keller Williams more visibility, but it also will be closer to restaurants, coffee shops and other spots that will be convenient for meeting clients.

“We feel this area is positioned for lots of future growth,” DeToit said. “To have a free-standing building to accommodate our entire Keller Williams operation — it couldn’t be more perfect for us.”
