LOOT SCOOTIN’ BOOGIE
7:22 p.m. — 4900 block of Ocean Boulevard. Possession of Paraphernalia. The victim’s bag was stolen from the public beach. Her credit-card company said the card was used at a rental company. The rental company said a man and woman used the card to purchase clothing and rent a yellow scooter. The two suspects were later identified while driving the yellow scooter. A pipe used for smoking crack was found in the woman’s purse.

BARK WORSE THAN HIS BITE
10:49 a.m. — 1000 block of Central Avenue. Threats. An ex-employee confronted a former co-worker, asking for $5. When the former co-worker said he didn’t have any money, the ex-employee threatened to go to the man’s house and harm his dog. Officers checked on the man’s house and confirmed the dog was unharmed.
WIRE FRAUD
8:00 a.m. — 1207 block of Sharswood Lane. Burglary. An unknown person or persons entered a house under construction in an unoccupied area of a subdivision. The suspect(s) took $400 worth of wire. The house had no doors or windows, so the suspect(s) had no access barriers.

MOTO-CROSS
3:05 a.m. — 1400 block of Main Street. Criminal Mischief. A man’s motorcycle was tipped over in the parking lot of a bar. He thought a man with whom he had gotten into an argument earlier was responsible for the damage and took his frustrations out on the motorcycle.
LAWN CON
9:35 a.m. — 2000 block of Hibiscus Street. Burglary of a Vehicle. The owner of a lawn-maintenance business left his back trailer door open for about 10 minutes while working on a yard. When he returned to the trailer, he found that a hedge trimmer and leaf blower had been taken.

TRY, TRY AGAIN
3:45 p.m. — 1200 block of Old Stickney Point Road. Trespass After Warning by Owner. A man, who had been warned and arrested previously for trespassing at the building, was seen next to a restaurant. When asked why he was there, he said his girlfriend lived there. After being arrested, the man said he would be back again tomorrow.
