Scene and Heard: Tidbits from the Asolo opening

Asolo Rep has added two to its development staff. Amanda Chandler signs on after completing her MFA in Theatre Management at FSU, in Tallahassee. Vanderbilt graduate Anna Fogelman is returning to her hometown after five years in New York City. Laura Wood, who ran events for the Asolo for five years before leaving for the "Big Apple" is returning July 1, much to the delight of all.

Headed into the theatre for the opening of "My Brilliant Divorce" on Wednesday, June 26, Asolo Producing Artistic Director Michael Donald Edwards ran into Sarasota Ballet Artistic Director Iain Webb. Edwards was telling him how quickly he had come to the 10th show of the season, which made the 60th show of his time here. Webb had to set him straight; "It's your 70th show," he said, "You've been here seven years." Sometimes a fella needs a friend ….
