Asolo Repertory Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director Michael Donald Edwards, along with Associate Artistic Director Greg Leaming, announced Asolo Rep’s and FSU/Asolo Conservatory’s 2013/2014 season lineup on March 18, at the theater.
This year, the fall musical will extend through the December holidays, and the spring musical will arrive earlier to make it in the rep season. The lineups are as follows:
Asolo Repertory Theatre
New Stages Tour: “Romeo and Juliet” — dates TBD
Adapted by Lauryn E. Sasso and Dmitry Troyanovsky
Directed by Dmitry Troyoanovsky
Description: The classic tale and tragedy of two star-crossed lovers.
“Show Boat” — runs from Nov. 12 through Dec. 29
Music by Jerome Kern; book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II; based on the novel by Edna Ferber
Directed by Rob Ruggiero
Description: The great American musical about forging the Mississippi River and the social changes taking place in the country.
“Philadelphia, Here I Come!” — runs from Jan. 7, 2014, through April 12, 2014
