+ Clickbooth helps Boston bombings victims
Clickbooth, an East County online marketing company, held its second annual Field Day April 19, at Longwood Park in Sarasota.

The event, a staff-appreciation event that concluded the company’s annual Spirit Week, also focused on giving back.

Clickbooth will be donating $2,500 to the American Red Cross in support of the victims of the April 15 Boston Marathon bombings.

Field Day featured employees, along with their friends and family, playing games and eating barbecue.
Teams selected at random from across every department competed in challenges ranging from “egg in spoon” and potato-sack races to tug-of-war.

“Field Day is a chance for team building that’s actually fun for employees,” said Patricia Yero, Clickbooth HR director. “It’s a unique way for employees to bond with co-workers they don’t typically interact with on a day-to-day basis, and, most importantly, it’s all for a good cause.”

Clickbooth, a Sarasota-based company that opened in 2002, has seen its staff grow from two people to almost 100 employees.

+ Multimedia company relocates to LWR
To accommodate new staff, increased sales and expanding partnerships, Digital Frontiers Media moved into a new office suite in Lakewood Ranch in early April.

The Sarasota multimedia production company also recently hired two new employees.

The company hired developer Brian Jackson in February to assist with new and established clients’ programming needs.

A self-taught developer, Jackson has experience in PHP, MySQL, Object Oriented Programming, HTML, JavaScript and CSS.

Nicole Apostle was brought on in March as a production manager and junior developer.

Apostle specializes in graphic design, social-media marketing, content writing and website management, and she will be expanding her HTML and CSS skills to support web development for Digital Frontiers Media’s Drupal clients.

Apostle has also spent time in marketing and communications at non-profit organizations and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in digital marketing at the University of South Florida.

“I am very, very happy to have the good fortune of pulling the varied talents of Nicole and Brian into the DFM fold and look forward to what we will be able to build together at our new location,” said Stephen Barker, Digital Frontiers Media’s president.

The company’s new location is at 7317 Merchant Court, Suite A, Lakewood Ranch.
