+ 8U River Dawgs win baseball tourney
The 8U River Dawgs baseball team won the GSA Swing for the Cure Tournament April 28, in Tampa.
It was only the second tournament the boys have played in since forming earlier this season.

Championship players include: Ryan Hanson, Ashton Lamb, Mason McReynolds, Mack Woolever, Connor Pope, Stone Russell, Jaden Stockton, Lucas Viera, Judson Hildreth, Justin Cook, Luke Donley, Joey Bianchini, Lucas Pearce, Ayden Bailey and Ryan O’Sullivan.

+ River Strand tops Stoneybrook
Corey Pion, captain, led the River Strand golf team to a 25.5-14.5 victory over Stoneybrook Golf Club in the second annual Heritage Harbour Golf Cup April 24 and April 25.

Thrirty-two players participated in the modified Ryder Cup format event.

+ IMG hoops players sign scholarships
Four IMG Academy basketball players signed national letters of intent to play at the next level. Players include:

Darius Lewis (Duquesne University)
Daniel Robinson (Florida International)
William Powell (Seattle University)
Tommy Hamilton (DePaul University)

KUDOS: OUT OF DOOR ACEDEMY Track and Field
The Out-of-Door Academy boys and girls track teams sent four athletes to the Class 1A State Finals April 26, at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
All four athletes posted top-11 finishes in their respective events. Senior Ashtin Frank also set a new school record, clearing 10 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault.
Results Include:
Frank (pole vault, fifth place)
Madison Shaw (100 hurdles, eighth place)
Catherine Williams (triple jump, 10th place)
Tre Gregory (pole vault, 11th place with an injured hamstring)

Abigail Hite
Triathlon | Braden River Elementary

27:33 — The time it took Abigail to finish the St. Anthony’s Triathlon Meek & Mighty April 27, in St. Petersburg. The 6-year-old won the 7-year-old female age group.

107 — The place Abigail finished overall out of the 609 youths who competed.

3.5 — The number of miles Abigail biked in the triathlon.
