5:25 p.m. — 400 block Burns Court. Miscellaneous Public. An officer patrolled the area to monitor a noise issue in the neighborhood, but the area was quiet.
NO FRIEND OF MINE
3:04 a.m. — 5100 block Ocean Boulevard. Impaired Person. A deputy heard a vehicle alarm going off outside of a club. The deputy checked the side of the building, where a man was leaning against the wall of the club. The man had his vehicle keys in his hand and was pushing buttons on the remote. The man told the deputy he was waiting for a friend to pick him up, but the man could not provide the friend’s name or call him. The man was intoxicated and could hardly stand and his speech was slurred. The deputy handcuffed the man and transported him to jail.
REAR WINDOW
7 p.m. — 2100 block Central Avenue. Criminal Mischief. The owner of a Chrysler minivan called police to report that someone had shot two holes into the rear window of the van overnight. The small holes appeared to be about the size that a .22-caliber firearm would make. Several people were in the area that night, including two subjects whom the van owner described as “dope boys.”

BLOCK PARTY
11 a.m. — 200 block Lime Avenue. Disorderly Intoxication. Officers responded to a call of several intoxicated people loitering on Lime Avenue. An officer contacted the group and subsequently made one code-violation arrest for open container.
April 24
WEB OF LIES
4 p.m. — 700 block S. Osprey Avenue. Suspicion General. A caller told a resident he was with a debt-collection agency and attempted to collect $641.12 for an unpaid cell phone bill. The resident, however, has never owned a cell phone and believes she may be the victim of attempted fraud.
