+ Riverview Rams qualify for state meet
Madison Schmidt, Kehtura Merrick and Alison Gollnick captured regional titles to lead the Riverview High girls track team to a third-place finish at the Class 4A-Region 2 meet April 24, at Leto High.
The boys team finished fifth.
The top-four finishers in each event earned a berth in the Class 4A state finals May 4, at the University of North Florida.
State qualifiers include:

+ ODA track teams post top-11 finishes
The Out-of-Door Academy boys and girls track teams sent four athletes to the Class 1A state finals April 26, at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
All four athletes posted top-11 finishes in their respective events. Senior Ashtin Frank also set a new school record, clearing 10 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault.
Results Include:

Catherine Williams (triple jump, 10th place)
Tre Gregory (pole vault, 11th place with an injured hamstring)
Frank (pole vault, fifth place)
KUDOS: Sarasota Crew
The Sarasota Crew boys and girls teams defended their titles at the Florida Scholastic Rowing Association Sweep Championships April 27 and April 28, at Nathan Benderson Park.
The Crew scored a combined 574 points to top rival Winter Park (496 points) and capture the overall team title.
