Class 3A-Region3
After scoring in the top of the first inning, Cardinal Mooney was unable to scratch across another run, as host Clearwater Central Catholic walked away with a 9-1 victory.
The Cougars were held to one run on two hits.
Cardinal Mooney took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Davis Roddenberry drew a walk; and three batters later; Bucky Bonynge hit a RBI single.
The Marauders drew even in the bottom half of the inning before scoring two more runs in the third inning and six runs in the fourth inning.
Clearwater Central Catholic scored nine runs on 10 hits.
Seven seniors, including starting pitcher Patrick Heuler, played their final game in a Cougars uniform.
After a scoreless 40-minute rain delay, The Out-of-Door Academy baseball team fell 1-0 to Clearwater Calvary Christian in eight innings.
The Thunder was held to one hit. ODA starting pitcher Austin Hoppe and reliever Jimmy Kuebler held Calvary Christian to just four hits.
Lone senior Alex Horan played his final game in a Thunder uniform.
Class 8A-Region 2
Riverview was held to just two hits as the Rams fell to Durant 2-0.
Durant pitcher Tyler Danish, who committed to the University of Florida, pitched a complete game for the Cougars while striking out 12. Danish has yet to allow an earned run this season.
The Rams loaded the bases on a single and two hit batters in the fourth inning, but were unable to scratch across a run.
Starting pitcher Sean Labsan and his brother Corey Labsan notched Riverview’s two lone hits.
Riverview finishes the season 20-7 after finishing as the Class 8A-District 8 runner-up.
Six players, including pitcher Sean Labsan, played their final game in a Rams uniform.

Sarasota High’s regional quarterfinal game at Stuart South Fork was postponed May 2 due to inclement weather.
The game has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. May 4.
