The Coastline 14 Rox Black volleyball team recently earned a national bid to the USA Volleyball Girls Junior Nationals.

The team earned a national bid after placing second out of 57 teams at the 2013 USAV Florida Regional Qualifier April 27-28 in Orlando.

Coastline was one of 48 teams from across the country and one of two from Florida to earn a bid in the 14 National division.

“Our 14 Rox Black team is a team that we saw great potential in early on because of their dedication to improving, learning and love of the game,” coach Matt McElhiney says. “I’m very happy for our girls and our club to have this great success, especially in our first year.”

With the bid, the girls will compete in the USA Volleyball Girls Junior Nationals June 28 through July 5 in Dallas.

Players include:
Allison Allmer, Emma Boughner, Andrea McDonald, Madison McNally, Rachel Meringer, Samantha Norden, Grace Pfeil, Margo Schnapf, Annie Shaw and Kahlee York.

Coastline Volleyball Club was established in 2012 with the goal of providing elite level instruction and training to girls in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. The club is home to 111 junior athletes spread across 11 teams.
