We all have a love/hate relationship with Sarasota's tourists during "season:" They keep our economy strong, but our streets become accident-prone and the socks-with-sandals look just makes my skin crawl. After season ends, however, it doesn't mean that the local scene shuts down. If anything, we take our town back and continue to support local business, attend great parties and sip holiday cocktails by the beach. We pretty much live in paradise and our stay-cations last all year! Here is a little recap on the past season's hits according to PREEN & CHIC, and what to expect this week.Sarasota's social scene is full of events and, more importantly, the familiar faces that frequent them throughout the year. Sure, other cities may boast a bigger calendar, but the acquaintance among guests and a thriving charitable character are what make Sarasota so unique.
