A Bay Isles South home at 560 Harbor Point Road closed today for $4.75 million.

Listed by Cheryl Loeffler, of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, the home was featured in January as the Wall Street Journal’s “House of the Day.”

Jon Fox, of Michael Saunders & Co., represented the buyers, whose names were not immediately available. The seller, Timothy Clarke, paid $2.75 million for the property in 2005 and built the new, 5,041-square-foot home two years ago.

The sale is the third highest amount paid for a Longboat Key home so far in 2013.

In April, L’Ambiance Penthouse M sold for $6.75 million, the highest amount paid for a condominium recorded in Sarasota County property records. Loeffler represented both the buyer and seller in that transaction.

Also in April, the home at 6301 Gulf of Mexico Drive closed for $5.7 million. Judy Kepecz-Hays, of Coldwell Banker Residential Realty, represented the sellers; Court Hoyle, of Exit Realty, represented the buyers.
