Exchange programs seeks host families

Education First, a non-profit student-exchange company, will be bringing 50 teenage students from France and Spain to the East County and surrounding area this summer and needs host families for the program.

Students will be in the area from July 6 to July 31, to improve their English skills.

The program does not include any classroom time, because it is an immersion program. Host families need to provide housing, three meals a day, transportation to weekly field trips and a caring, stable environment.
Local teenagers in host family homes can earn 60 community service hours toward Bright Futures. Adults must pass a criminal background check.

Host families get to pick the student they host based on gender, age and hobbies.

Exchange students bring their own spending money and are medically insured.
