1 — The Sarasota High volleyball team upset Clearwater 3-2 in regional quarterfinal action Oct. 29 to advance to the regional semifinals Nov. 5.

2 — The Cardinal Mooney boys 200-yard medley relay team qualified for the Class 1A state meet with a time of 1:43.05, breaking a school record that had been in place since 1996.

3— Cardinal Mooney senior Grace Casagrande crossed the finish line in 18 minutes, 19.53 seconds to finish second at the Class 1A-Region 3 cross-country meet Nov. 2.

4 — Sarasota High runner Zack Summerall finished second at the Class 3A-Region 3 meet Nov. 2 to lead the Sailors to a third-place finish overall.

5 — The Riverview High boys soccer team held on to beat rival Sarasota 3-2 Oct. 30.
