SBEP Bay Guardians win Sea Preservation Award

The Sarasota Bay Estuary Program (SBEP) Bay Guardians were honored with the Sea Preservation Award from Keep Sarasota Beautiful, Tuesday Nov. 13.

In 2013, Bay Guardians completed volunteer projects in both Sarasota and Manatee County, such as Perico Preserve and North Water Tower Park. Bay Guardians is managed by SBEP and is the area’s largest and most active volunteer program focused on Sarasota Bay.

The programs plans for 2014 include an Air Potato Vine removal at Arlington Park in January and a rain garden planting project at New College of Florida in March.
