A home in Southpointe Shores tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Thomas Rao, of Sarasota, sold his home at 7656 Peninsular Drive to John and Doris Kennedy, of Sarasota, for $883,800. Built in 1964, it has three bedrooms, two half-baths, a pool and 2,768 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.6 million in 2005.

Ronald and Janet Thompson, of Sarasota, sold their Unit PH-05 condominium at 100 Central Ave. to Diane Blinn, of Norfolk, Neb., for $820,000. Built in 2005, it has two bedrooms, two baths, two half-baths and 1,707 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $837,500 in 2006.

Pomelo Place
Cassandra Allen, of Eastpoint, sold the home at 1766 Loma Linda St. to William Bernhart and Elizabeth Macaulay, of Sarasota, for $645,000. Built in 1949, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,712 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $575,000 in 2004.

Yang Sun Kim sold the Unit 801 condominium at 770 S. Palm Ave. to Martin and Nance Liebgott, of New York, for $495,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,408 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $137,500 in 1987.

Belinda Funkhouser sold her Unit 1004 condominium at 435 S. Gulfstream Ave. to Theodore Wilson and Valerie Wilson, trustees, of Bloomfield, Mich., for $480,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,537 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $331,000 in February.
