Chabad of Bradenton will celebrate Hanukkah tonight, as the group lights a Menorah constructed out of canned goods,  at Lakewood Ranch Main Street.

A Thanksgiving Hanukkah Celebration starts at 6:30 p.m. and will feature doughnut decorating, dreiedel making and face painting, among other activities.  A stunt group — Xtreme Team — also will be on site, tumbling, breathing fire and performing other acrobatic feats for the audience.

Attendees should bring their canned goods either to the event, or the Chabad House, 5712 Lorraine Road, Bradenton.

The size of the Menorah depends on the number of cans donated. Donated goods later will be taken to All Faiths Food Bank.

For more information on the event, call 752-3030.
