Lakewood Ranch resident Don O’Leary and friends, Dick Moran and Richard Lozier, this year may be foregoing their annual drive through Lakewood Ranch to collect non-perishable food and financial donations for the Food Bank of Manatee, but that doesn’t mean they’ve given up their annual tradition.
O’Leary says Lakewood Ranch residents can bring their donations to Lakewood Ranch Town Hall, 8175 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., Lakewood Ranch, now through Dec. 6.

O’Leary, who underwent a double bypass surgery in October, says he is feeling well, but “taking it easy.” He and his friends decided to put their door-to-door-style food pickup on hold this year. He and his co-collectors plan to be driving through the community for their annual food drive again next year.
