The Observer announces holiday edition of 'It's Read Everywhere' contest

The Observer is getting into the holiday spirit with a holiday edition of its annual “It’s Read Everywhere” photo contest.

You’re used to snapping photos with the Observer while on trips around the world, but this holiday season we’re offering a contest that hits a little closer to home. All you need is your 2013 Holiday Gift Guide (inside this issue) and a shopping list. While out and about this season, make sure to take your gift guide to any of the advertisers in it (there are more than 110 from which to choose!) and take your photo at the advertiser’s location.

The next step is easy: Upload your photo online at YourObserver.com (click on the Contests tab in the upper right-hand corner). Submit your photos between now and Dec. 24. Voting for the contest opens Dec. 25 and ends Jan. 1; you may vote up to 10 times per day.

The entrant’s photo with the most number of votes will win a $250 gift card to the Holiday Gift Guide advertiser of your choice, along with a $250 Gulf Coast Gives card to benefit a local charitable project.
