Sarasota Ballet announces Ashton Lineup

Sarasota Ballet has officially announced the lineup of ballets it will perform for the April 30 through May 3 Sir Frederick Ashton Festival.

The four-day festival will be divided into four programs. Wednesday, April 30 will feature "Birthday Offering," "Illuminations" and "Facade." Thursday, May 1 will feature "Les Rendezvous," "Symphonic Variations" and "Facade." Friday, May 2 will feature "Valses Nobles et Sentimentales," "Monotones I and II" and "Sinfonietta." Saturday, May 3 will feature "Les Patineurs" and a selection of Divertissements with a gala immediately following the end of the program.

It's sure to bring many ballet enthusiasts from around the world, as well as the usual fans of Sarasota Ballet. Sarasota Ballet has attracted the attention of "Pointe" magazine as well as The New York Times for its Ashton repertoire.
