The Mosaic Company Foundation has a challenge for local philanthropists.

Mosaic has issued a grant to match all donations toward the Ann Goldstein Children's Rainforest Garden at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens of up to $50,000. The Mosaic Community Challenge will last through Oct. 31, less than two weeks before the outdoor live display opens to the public.

The interactive garden will simulate the rainforest canopies for visitors.

“Our mission at Selby Gardens is not only to stimulate a lifelong interest in the important connection between people and plants,” said Selby Gardens CEO Thomas Buchter in a news release. “It is also to inspire future generations to preserve one of the world’s most vulnerable ecosystems.”
