Phillippi Farmhouse Market re-opens

The Phillippi Farmhouse Market, 5500 S. Tamiami Trail, opened this morning at 9 a.m. for it’s fifth season. The market is Sarasota’s only mid-week farmers market and is open in 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays through April.

More than 40 vendors offer produce and plants from local growers and producers. They also sell prepared foods, specialty and sustainable items and products.

Vendors at the market are required to be growers to support the market’s mission of promoting local agriculture.

The market is easily accessible from US 41 with plenty of free parking.
