Birthday boy

Gus Andreon celebrated his 102nd birthday with a party the Sahib Shriner Bingo Unit threw for him Sept. 24.
Andreon is the oldest PGA golfer in the U.S. and lives at Palm-Aire Country Club. Andreon became a professional golfer with the PGA after his tenure in the Army under Gen. George Patton in World War II.

When he was in the PGA, he tied the course record at Edgewater Country Club, in Pittsburgh, with a 66. He holds two other course records at St. Claire Country Club, and for 30 years he was the golf pro at Edegwood. Today, he plays three times a week and normally shoots 80s.
