"Crazy for You" opens Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Players Theatre. This tap-dancing musical extravaganza won the Tony Award for Best Musical and is sure to delight you with timeless hits by George Gershwin.

Gershwin just so happens to be my favorite composer ever. He wrote classics, such as "Someone To Watch Over Me," "Rhapsody in Blue," "Summertime," and "I Got Rhythm." I fell in love with his music at a young age, because my father, a pianist, often played his melodies. And, I think I watched the movie "An American in Paris," which featured a Gershwin score, more times than "The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast," and "The Lion King" combined.

I feel extremely lucky to have a principal role in "Crazy for You." Also, lucky for me, I get to share the stage with Logan O'Neill, who plays Bobby Child. Trust me; O'Neill will totally melt your heart with his smile and impress you with his fancy footwork. The show is directed by Jared E. Walker and choreographed by Kyle Turoff.

As you might imagine, a monumental effort goes into producing a show of this caliber, and I thought perhaps a look at some of the figures involved in getting "Crazy for You" on its feet could speak for the production in a more representative fashion than just sharing the synopsis.
