“Makeup Your Mind” Fashion Show and Luncheon was held Saturday, Oct. 5, at River Club Clubhouse. The event was a fundraiser for Mary Kay Cosmetics’ “Think Pink” Team for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, which took place Oct. 19.

Sales Director June McEldowney and her team, along with other local business owners, hosted the event.
The fashion show included items donated from the Mary Kay team and that were available to purchase. Bridal gowns that were donated to Brides Against Breast Cancer went down the catwalk as well and were available to buy, with all proceeds going toward breast-cancer research. Guest speakers included Gaye Freedman, from The Laughing Goddess, Dr. Ray Bisesi, and Lakewood Ranch Realtor Beth Barnett.
