Sarasota Ballet's Mirella Costa Neto was promoted by director Iain Webb from Apprentice to Corps de Ballet on stage during curtain call at this weekend's "Theatre of Dreams" performance.

"Theatre of Dreams has been an opportunity for my dancers to explore their creativity through a different means rather than dancing themselves for the past four years," says Webb. "This year, I started the season with it not just to give these budding choreographers a chance to express themselves creatively, but also to give me an opportunity to see our new dancers for the first time in stage."

As the curtain rose on Jamie Carter's "The Tarot" today, Mirella Costa Neto walked on as an Apprentice. But, as the curtain dropped, she will now be walking on stage as a newly promoted Corps de Ballet.
