The Manatee County School Board will vote to adopt the district's $566.9 million budget tonight.

The public hearing, at 5:45 p.m. at 215 Manatee Ave. W., will give people a last opportunity to comment on the 2013-14 budget.

Two previous public hearings have been held on the budget — one more than required by the state.

The final budget, posted to the district's website Sunday, features little change from the tentative budget released earlier.

At the last public hearing Aug. 29, Superintendent Rick Mills announced the district will hire 85 additional teachers for the 2013-14 school year to match enrollment growth recorded in the first 10 days of the school year.
