Lakewood girls finish second

The Lakewood Ranch High girls cross country team finished second at the Bradenton Runners Club Invitational Sept. 14, at G.T. Bray.

The Lady Mustangs scored 67 points to finish behind Sarasota (27).

Julia Ortiz finished fifth in 20 minutes, 51.18 seconds to lead the way for Lakewood. Andrea McDonald was sixth in 20:53.93 followed by Michelle Last (14, 21:43.27), Elizabeth Chandler (21^st, 22:36.46) and Sara Kelly (27^th, 22:55.30).
