Obituary: Constance 'Connie' Pla

Constance “Connie” Pla, of Sarasota, died Sept. 3.

Born Nov. 11, 1939, in Attleboro, Mass., she was proud to spend the last 21 years cooking and housekeeping at the rectory of St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church.

Mrs. Pla is survived by her daughter, Christina Christensen; brother, Wilfred DuFresne; two grandsons; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many other relatives and friends.

A private burial service will be held in Massachusetts.

A public memorial Mass will be held Friday, Oct. 18, at St. Mary, 4280 Gulf of Mexico Drive. Time will be announced.
