Sarasota Orchestra: Songfest
Sarasota Orchestra will kick off it’s 65th anniversary season with Song Fest 1 and Song Fest 2, a mini-festival under the direction of Maestro Dirk Meyer. Two concerts will be sung in four languages by guest vocalists Blythe Gaissert-Levitt and Jason Collins. Joining the soloists, Song Fest 1 will also feature Sarasota Brass Quintet, and Song Fest 2 features Sarasota String Quartet.

Manatee Players: “Always…Patsy Cline”
This is the first production on the Manatee Players’ Kiwanis Studio Theater stage. The musical production follows the true story of Patsy Cline’s (Alana Opie) friendship with housewife and fan Louise Seger (Brittney Klepper).

Movieville International Film Festival
The festival is in its third year and will host more than 40 national and international films, including a documentary about horse racing starring Joe Pesci, “Behind the Gate”; and a crime-thriller featuring Margot Kidder, Robert Loggia and Steven Bauer called “Real Gangsters.”

The Players Theatre: “Steel Magnolias”
