High five moments of the week

1 - The Coastline Volleyball Club 18 Rox team won American division of The Big South National Qualifier April 4 through April 6, in Atlanta.

2 - Sarasota High baseball coach Clyde Metcalf picked up his 800th and 801st career coaching victories April 5, as the Sailors won the semifinal and final round of the Perfect Game Showdown.

3 - Austin Hoppe pitched a complete game shutout, striking out 10 to lead The Out-of-Door Academy baseball team to an 8-0 district victory against Bradenton Christian April 1.

4 - The Out-of-Door Academy’s Maria Ross (No. 1) and Mary Ann Rompf (No. 2) both won individual district titles, as well as the No. 1 doubles title, at the Class 1A-District 9 tennis tournament March 31 and April 1.

5 - The Booker High boys tennis team finished second at the Class 2A-District 10 tournament April 1 and April 2 to earn a berth in the regional tournament April 8.
