Professional choral ensemble Gloria Musicae's Artistic Director Joseph Holt announced its 2014/2015 season at its annual meeting Sunday, April 12. In addition to announcing the season, Holt announced a new partnership between Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota and Gloria Musicae. These performance collaborations are listed below.

Here’s what the season looks like:

“In Thanksgiving”
4 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014
The Season will kick off with a concert themed around charity and giving. Appropriately enough, this will also be the kick-off event for Season of Sharing in partnership with the Community Foundation of Sarasota. It will include pieces, such as: G.F. Handel’s “Foundling Hospital Anthem”; “The Dreamer” by ; and “Ubi Caritas” by contemporary composer Ola Gjeilo, to name a few. Sarasota Young Voices will participate in this concert as guest artists.

“Old and New”
7 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015
This concert will feature a State College of Florida Chamber Singers. It will feature two works: the Florida premiere of “Sunrise Mass” by Ola Gjeilo as well as Puccini’s “Gloria.”

“An American Tapestry”
4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4
This concert comes as no surprise because Gloria Musicae presents an annual patriotic-themed concert prior to the fireworks show over Sarasota Bay.

Appearances with Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota:
Dec. 20 and 21, 2014 — Holiday Concerts
Jan. 9, 2015 — Edvard Grieg Festival
