The Spyglass Women’s Book Club of Country Club in Lakewood Ranch welcomed author Virginia Glass to its March meeting.

The club meets once a month in members’ homes to discuss books from various genres, and it chose a book by Glass for its March meeting. Glass authored “Delicious Desserts,” a story complete with recipes and food photos.

Glass and her husband David, caterer, author, food expert and wholesale bakery owner, share a love of cooking. Together they developed beautiful and delicious cakes. This blossomed into a well-known business in the Northeast. 

In the book, Glass shares the trials and errors and the many tastings that eventually led to the Ultimate Chocolate Truffle Cake, the company’s signature cake. 

As book club members sampled the truffle cake, among other desserts, Glass also shared about the couple’s latest culinary adventures in Vermont — candies under the label David Glass Chocolates. 
Glass is the daughter of Spyglass residents Ralph and Bobby Mori.
