Logan Edward Oliva
Brianne Oliva and her husband, Anthony, welcomed the newest addition to their family, Logan Edward Oliva, at 8:48 p.m. Feb. 24, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Logan weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long. Proud grandparents are Bruce and Terri Saba and Dino and Karen Oliva, all of Sarasota. Excited siblings Emma and A.J. Oliva also welcomed Logan to the family.
Kali Rose Pristley
Sarasota native Garrett Pristley and his wife, Chanel, welcomed the newest addition to their family, Kali Rose Pristley, at 8:18 p.m. Feb. 18, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Kali weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Proud grandparents are Angel L. Melendez and Maria Guilbe, of Sarasota, and Yolanda Pristley, of Brandon. Proud aunts and uncles are Sammy and Lisa Guilbe, of Springfield, Mass.; Angel L. Melendez II, of Fort Lauderdale, Anthony L. Melendez, who is currently stationed in Hawaii, and Damian Pristley, of South Carolina.

Jenn McAlister and Denver Stutler Jr.
Jenn McAlister and Denver Stutler Jr., of Sarasota, were married Jan. 1, on Longboat Key beach.
Serving as best men were Denver’s sons, Chandler, 17, and D.J., 19. Attending Jenn as her “mini Maids of Honor” were her twin daughters, Kaitlyn and Jaidyn McAlister, 6.
The bride wore a Hayley Paige Guindon ivory striped organza strapless bridal ball gown with a sweetheart neckline, full flounced skirt and taupe raw silk sash.
During the ceremony, presided over by celebrant Wendy Elwell, the couple exchanged rings — his was Tiffany, and hers was a custom ring by Liebe Gamble of June Simmons Jewelry.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a brunch reception at Pattigeorge’s restaurant complete with a bacon bar featuring six kinds of bacon.
Before the big day, the couple enjoyed a New Year’s Eve lunch “rehearsal dinner” co-hosted by Kathleen Shanahan, a former chief of staff to former Gov. Jeb Bush, and Mark Antos at their Longboat Key home.
The couple has been together for two-and-a-half years. Denver proposed to Jenn in September 2012 at the Abbaye de la Bussière, in Paris wine country.
The bride owns BDN Solutions, a construction consulting firm specializing in internal and external business development for small to mid-size construction firms.
The groom served as Bush’s chief of staff and also as the secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation. He is CEO of Polston Applied Technologies.
Parents of the bride are Alfonso and Ellen Perez and the late Richard N. Smith Sr. Parents of the groom are Denver and Jeanette Stutler and Dottie Stutler and Fred Habibzdeh.
