WEEKEND BEST BET: Longboat Key Easter Egg Hunts

Get your baskets ready because Longboat Key welcomes the Easter Bunny and his special eggs to the island this weekend.

The fun begins at Mar Vista’s 26th annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19.

Each child must bring their own basket and will be split into two age groups. All of the colorful eggs will contain a tasty treat or special surprise. For more information, call 383-2391.

On Sunday, April 20, Moore’s Stone Crab Restaurant will hold “Come Stuff the Easter Box” from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

The Easter Bunny will arrive at 1:30 p.m., and the egg hunt will begin at 2:30 p.m. They will also be collecting items like shampoo, toothpaste and soap in the Easter boxes throughout the restaurant. All donations will benefit Family Resources. Call 383-1748 to learn more.
