April 17
DANCE LIKE NOBODY’S SHOPPING
9:09 a.m. — 1400 block of First Street. Other Disorderly Conduct. An older woman was reportedly causing a disturbance in a grocery store by dancing around and bothering customers. The woman was gone when officers arrived and could not be found in the area.

April 19
CONFLICT RESOLUTION
2:51 a.m. — 1900 block of Main Street. Dispute/Fight. Two men reportedly got into an argument at a bar that turned physical. They were both intoxicated, and officers determined it was a mutual combat situation. Officers reported that neither man wanted to press charges, and that they spoke and worked out their issues with one another.

TRY, TRY AGAIN
9:40 a.m. — 1900 block of 12th Street. Dispute/Fight. An employee at an automotive shop said a customer was causing a disturbance. The customer was not happy with a vehicle she purchased because the engine had blown, so she received another vehicle. She was also unhappy with that vehicle, and returned to the shop to complain again. The employee said the woman banged on another vehicle and disturbed other customers, but that he did not want to press any charges for minor damage. He said the woman was behind on her payments, and repossessed the vehicle.

JEWELRY HEIST
1:50 p.m. — 300 block of St. Armands Circle. Theft — Retail/Farm Shoplifting. A store employee observed a woman placing several necklaces on her neck and more necklaces and one scarf in her purse. The woman walked past the sales counter and attempted to leave the store before the employee stopped her. The woman admitted to stealing the items and said she took them “because she liked them and did not have the money to pay for them.”

ONE MAN’S TRASH …
9 p.m. — 2700 block of Nancy Street. Suspicion General/Unknown. A man reported that someone had gone through his trash, which had happened two other times recently. Because his trashcan is in the yard, someone would have walked into the yard and past his carport to access it. The man does not believe an animal is responsible, because the lid was latched at night, trash was not strewn about and nothing was chewed. The man did not witness anyone on his property.

April 19
PAINT JOB
8:58 p.m. — 1000 block of Signal Point Circle. Suspicion General/Unknown. Two roommates reported they heard a popping noise outside of their apartment. When they went outside, they saw yellow blobs of paint on their front door, and several males with paintball guns driving away in a white car. A similar report was made in a different area later that night. Neither party knew who could have been responsible for shooting the paintball guns. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
