The work day has finally reached its end, and you're ready to sip a cool after-work cocktail with friends and co-workers. But first, you need to freshen up after a long day. Let' s face it: the days are getting longer — and yes — hotter. If you don't have time to go home before you hit the town, follow these simple steps to perform what I call "the happy-hour shower."

  1. Use rice paper to dab off the excess oils from the day. Rice paper absorbs the sebaceous oil that have secreted  from your skin throughout the day, leaving a talc-free powder for your new palate to refresh. Best of all, it can be found at any drug store or beauty supply store, in the makeup section.
  2. Apply a sponge-tip eyeliner applicator to give yourself a smoky eye. Smudge it out for an evening eye.
  3. Chose a brighter lipstick with a shimmery gloss over the top.
  4. Finish by spritzing with a refreshing green tea or hydrating aromatic mist. If you know you're going to be enjoying a few cocktails that evening, remember to go light on caffeine and drinks lots of water.

You're now ready to meet your friends and celebrate.
