+ Annette Rogers joins forces with Cheryl Loeffler
Annette Rogers has joined Premier Sotheby’s International Realty to team up with Cheryl Loeffler and her team that includes Betsy Sublette and Daniel Volz.

Originally from Connecticut, Rogers has 40 years of experience in luxury property marketing, buying and selling, and has closed $63 million in sales in a single year. Before she began her real estate career, Rogers worked as a nurse, owner of a hotel in Jamaica and as a batik artist and enamellist.

Rogers is a past board member of the Sarasota Arts Council and Asian Museum of Art and is currently active with Florida Studio Theatre, Sarasota Ballet, the Sarasota Opera Association and the Van Wezel Foundation.

+ Former Johnson & Johnson exec appointed to board
Claudia Cardillo, former executive with Johnson & Johnson, has been appointed to the Board of the Library Foundation for Sarasota County. 

Cardillo retired in 2011 to Siesta Key after holding leadership positions with Ricoh Corporation, Lenox Brands and the Johnson & Johnson Family of companies, for which she worked for 23 years. She was also president of Cardillo Business Management Group. 

Since moving to Sarasota, Cardillo has become an avid volunteer and mentor at Girls Inc. of Sarasota County and a job resource coach at Church of the Palms. She is a member of the Gulf Coast Leadership Institute Class of 2014. 

“Libraries have been a big part of my life since holding my first library card,” Cardillo says. “I am thrilled to be part of securing the future of our libraries as they continue to provide exciting spaces and resources to engage our community for generations to come.”

+ New development company breaks ground in Sarasota
Omega Communities LLC, a senior-housing development company, has partnered with area churches to construct two assisted-living and memory-care campuses: The Fountains of Hope, at the Church of Hope, in Sarasota, and The Springs, at South Biscayne Church, in North Port.

The Fountains of Hope will be a newly constructed, 90,000-square-foot assisted-living and memory-care community offering 106 residences on a 10-acre parcel on the campus of the Church of Hope, located at 1560 Wendell Kent Road.

The development of The Fountains of Hope will create 150 to 200 jobs for the Sarasota area during the construction phase. The completed facility will then require a staff of more than 100 full-time employees.
Omega Communities has an estimated completion date for The Fountains of Hope in the third quarter of 2015.

+ Michael Saunders Realtor receives CRS designation
Realtor Yvonne Gooldy, of Michael Saunders & Co., has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation by the Council of Residential Specialists.

Realtors who receive the CRS designation have completed advanced professional training and demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in residential real estate.

Gooldy is a member of the Sarasota Association of Realtors. She has earned several national designations, including Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and Short Sale and Foreclosure Resources (SFR), and she is a pending a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS).

Gooldy has worked as a volunteer coordinator and outreach staff member for the Sarasota Film Festival since 2012, for which she earned a nomination by Visit Sarasota County for Guest Service Excellence — Front Line.

She has been a Chamber Partner with the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce since 2013.
