SPECIAL DELIVERY
1:20 p.m. — 900 block of North Beneva Road. Other Disorderly Conduct. A man at the post office was mad he was not able to pick up a package. The manager of the post office indicated the package had arrived, but that it was mistakenly sent back to Tampa. The manager said the package would be available for pickup in two days. The man was angry but agreed to return. Once the man left, the manager informed officers the package contained approximately five ounces of marijuana and that a sting operation was in the works at the federal level.

ON THE LINE
10:24 p.m. — 200 block of Tarpon Avenue. Suspicion Person. A woman said three unknown men walking down the street had stopped by her mailbox to tie what appeared to be a fishing line onto it. The woman said her son grabbed the fishing line, at which point one of the men started to pull the string. The son’s finger got caught in the line, but they were able to pull it off his finger, she said. Officers were unable to locate any subjects matching the description given in the area.
SEASONED CRIMINAL
2:45 — 1400 block of First Street. Petit Theft — Shoplifting. The security guard at a grocery store said he observed a man concealing a package of shrimp and a bottle of seasoning inside of a backpack. The security guard detained the man, and an officer issued a court summons to him.
STICK-UP
5:30 p.m. — 2100 block of North Washington Boulevard. Theft — Retail/Farm Shoplifting. An employee at a convenience store showed officers surveillance footage of a woman taking a stick of butter from a package in the cold food aisle. Officers checked the area for the suspect but were unable to locate anyone matching the description of the woman in the video.
