At 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, Sarasota Ballet will host a family fun picnic to benefit Any Given Child. Picnic and Play at the Ballet will take place at 5 p.m. in the Bolger Play space, at The Ringling Museum, 5401 Bay Shore Road.

Light snacks and refreshments will be offered for $30 for adults and $10 for children preceding the performance of Sarasota Ballet’s “The Secret Garden,” at the adjacent FSU Performing Arts Center (an additional $25 to $75 per person for the performance).

Any Given Child is a program that seeks to expand arts education for Sarasota students; and is a national program that operates in 13 cities. It’s a program that in October, will send 2,000 third graders to the ballet’s “The Secret Garden.”
