Paver problems
11100 block of 77th Street East. Suspicious Circumstance. A man reported that during the renovation of his driveway, someone stole 50 to 60 Shark tooth pavers valued at $1,500 from his property. It was discovered later that the landscape company moved the pallet of pavers to another job by mistake.
Nov. 28
Saved by the bell
11:03 a.m. — 6500 block of 43rd Court East. Burglary. Someone broke into a home by prying open the front door, which activated an alarm that scared off the burglar. Nothing was stolen.
Stolen goods
8:37 p.m. — 4300 block of Drake Boulevard East. Theft. A man noticed a tarp covering his motorcycle had been moved and a plant was knocked over. Upon further investigation, he discovered someone had stolen the tag from his motorcycle, a bike kit and his seat cover.
Nov. 30
Weighty issue
2600 block of 30th Avenue East. Burglary. A man told police someone stole his entire home gym that he keeps in his backyard. The outdoor gym contained 800 pounds of weights. Police found it odd that there were no drag marks on the lawn from carrying away the equipment. The man believes someone came to a nearby yard sale the previous day, saw the equipment and came back to steal it.

Bad bill
3:43 p.m. — 7100 block of State Road 70 East. Fraud. A store manager reported his staff uncovered a fake $20 bill when they were counting register money.

Photo finish
10:39 a.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Avenue East. Theft. A man entered a store, grabbed a 32-inch television set off a shelf and tried to run out of the store with it. He was caught by a loss-prevention officer and asked to be released, explaining he hadn’t been arrested for stealing before. When he was shown a picture of himself stealing from a nearby store the previous day, the man said, “Well, I haven’t stolen anything except for yesterday and today.”

Cashing out
9:23 a.m. — 2900 block of 53rd Avenue East. Grand Theft. A woman told police someone returned her wallet without the $570 that was inside of it when she lost it.
