Obituary: Dale Neuhaus

Dale Neuhaus, 84, of Hudson, Ohio, and formerly of Longboat Key, died Dec. 6.

Born and raised in Saginaw, Mich., Mr. Neuhaus graduated in 1948 from Arthur Hill High School. He was an honors graduate of Michigan State University and a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.

Mr. Neuhaus served in the Army during the Korean War and worked as a CPA at several accounting firms.

He retired from Ernst & Young in 1987.

Mr. Neuhaus enjoyed reading, playing bridge, traveling and playing golf and tennis. On Saturday afternoons, he could be found cheering on the Michigan State Spartan teams. He loved sitting on the balcony of his condo on Longboat Key overlooking the Gulf.

Mr. Neuhaus is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cook Neuhaus. He is survived by daughters Sue Black, of Charlotte, N.C., Lynne Gibson, of Washington, N.C., and Amy Blunt, of Aiken, S.C.; son, Tom Neuhaus, of Aiken, S.C.; sister, Jean Wenger, of Palos Verdes, Calif.; companion and partner, Hope Skilling, of Hudson, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Dec. 9, at the First Congregational Church of Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Hudson Endowment Fund, 47 Aurora St., Hudson, OH 44236.
